What The Clients Say - Men

David B. Fisher PhotoDavid B. Fisher  President, Asia Pacific Region, of a large European pharmaceutical company.

I spend a large chunk of my life working and travelling. The little free time I have,  I enjoy sailing or a good game of golf with friends. I am sure there are lots of wonderful ladies out there, but my life style is such  it doesn’t offer me too many opportunities  to meet them. To start dating again at my age requires initiative & discipline, and it is so easy not to do it. I guess I really needed someone to nudge me a little from time to time…Going to HK Matchmakers was the best thing I ever did for myself.

I work for my dad, we have production plants in China. I went to boarding school in the UK, then UCLA… which makes me kind of a “banana” I suppose.  I don’t have problem meeting women, just not the right ones.   I don’t get along too well with “local” girls... There are some gorgeous English speakers in Sevva, Soho & LKF …great fun, but you wouldn’t want to marry one of those…  my problem is, the woman I’d want to marry probably doesn’t hang out where I hang out … The pro helps me to expand my circle, I have everything to gain and nothing to lose – it would be stupid not to.

“Travelling” is my middle name, so the little free time I have, I want to spend it wisely.  Internet dating is too time consuming , it’s also more for kids ... Speed dating ?  too demeaning …Networking & parties ?  too much work. I am not a party animal anyway.. I am looking for a mate,  a life partner… They do background check which I like, takes the guessing out of the game… The matchmaking service may not be for everyone, but it  works for me.

We work ridiculously long hours, under unbelievable pressure…and this round the clock. When I have a day off, I just want to sleep. That doesn’t sound very sexy or exciting, I know, but that is who I am – I work, I eat, I sleep. I would love to have a wife, or a steady girlfriend…then may be I’ll have a life…but when & where am I supposed to find her ???  I think HK Matchmakers offers a service much needed by people like myself.  Been with them 6 months, haven’t found a wife yet, but at least I am now dating regularly. Yes, highly recommended.

Why  not ? Going to matchmakers used to be a Chinese tradition, today it is still very popular in Japan, India & many parts of the world. Why?  because  busy people have little time, because this service is focused and efficient, & because it works. “Stigma” is a social temperament, a fad that comes & goes. Being a concubine used to be a stigma, a child born out of wedlock used to be a stigma, today some of these people are  movers & shakers of our society…I  am very secure, what people say doesn’t bother me. I do what I think is right for me.

I spend a lot of time in Shanghai & Beijing. Early on, I thought I was in heaven,  northern girls are more attractive, sexy, aggressive, & they know how to please a man.  Unfortunately, the honeymoon was soon over…for me and for most “expatriate” men , Chinese & Caucasians. These women are shrewd & mercenary. First, they would want  you to wine & dine them …then buy them handbags, shoes, &  I Pads … then  allowances…watches, jewelries… cars…& finally apartments…  What I really want now is a “real” relationship with a Hong Kong lady,  and HK Matchmakers has been most helpful.
